Responsibilities
- Scheduled and unannounced inspection of hospitals and health facilities
- Assessing compliance with national standards for quality, safety and infection prevention
- Supporting facility licensing, registration and accreditation processes
- Issuing inspection findings, corrective action plans and follow-up verification
- Investigating serious incidents and complaints relating to hospital care
